Slow-aging effect for the skin

Marine collagen hydrolysates have a slow-aging effect on human skin. In a clinical study, a significant improvement in skin elasticity was demonstrated in a group of women aged 35-55 years (Proksch et al. 2014).

Reduction of skin wrinkles

The same group of scientists from the University of Kiel, Germany, also demonstrated a significant reduction in skin wrinkles after daily consumption of a collagen hydrolysate (Proksch et al. 2014).

Collagen in its purest form

Arctic Marine Collagen consists of 100% wild cod collagen and vitamin C. The pure raw material comes from sustainable wild catch in the Arctic Ocean off the coast of Norway, the most strictly regulated fishing region in the world, where catch quotas are scientifically assessed, regulated, and continuously adjusted to protect fish stocks.

Thanks to its neutral taste, the powder can be easily incorporated into everyday life. Simply stir a tablespoon into hot or cold drinks or food.

The structure of the skin and connective tissue is largely determined by its collagen content. Scientific studies show that marine collagen peptides, when taken daily, can help support skin structure. [1,2,3]

• Natural purity from the Arctic Ocean
• Highly concentrated and very well tolerated
• Free from artificial sweeteners, artificial colors and flavors

Organic is good – wild-caught is better.

Arctic Marine Collagen is derived from the skin of wild-caught North Atlantic cod caught in the Arctic Ocean. This skin is so pure that it is a certified medical device in the EU, used for wound healing.

The similarity of the extracellular matrix to human skin is clearly visible in the electron microscope images.

This pure Arctic Marine Collagen contains 20 amino acids and is gently hydrolyzed using enzymes. With a molecular weight of 2000 Daltons, it is highly bioavailable.

Questions & Answers about Arctic Marine Collagen

Where does collagen come from?

The collagen is 100% derived from the skin of Arctic cod (Gadus morhua), caught in the North Sea (FAO fishing area 27). Fishing is quota-based and sustainably regulated.

What does 2000 Daltons mean?

Dalton is the unit of measurement for molecular size. The smaller the peptides, the more efficiently they are absorbed by the body. Our collagen peptides have a molecular weight of only 2000 Daltons – significantly smaller than most collagens on the market.

Are there any clinical studies that prove the effectiveness of Arctic Marine Collagen?

Yes, there are numerous studies that demonstrate the positive effects of marine collagen peptides on human skin and connective tissue, particularly regarding elasticity and wrinkle reduction (e.g., Proksch et al. 2014). When considering collagen studies that show a lesser effect, the date should be taken into account, as earlier studies focused on larger Dalton molecule sizes, and smaller sizes were not yet available.

Why is marine collagen more expensive than bovine collagen?

The extraction of high-quality, single-species marine collagen is significantly more complex. Sustainably caught Arctic cod is not an industrially mass-produced commodity like bovine collagen, porcine collagen, or collagen from aquaculture. The availability of high-quality fish skins fluctuates seasonally, and catches are limited by quotas. Due to the "Arctic" purity of the raw material, gentler processing using specialized methods is possible, resulting in a higher concentration of original active ingredients. As with all food products, origin determines quality!

How long should I take Arctic Marine Collagen to achieve the best results?

Recommended minimum intake: 2 months daily. Collagen metabolism in connective tissue is slow – consistency is crucial. Many customers report the first visible results in skin, hair, and nails after approximately 4 weeks. Studies are usually designed to last 3 months.

Are there any side effects from taking Arctic Marine Collagen?

Arctic Marine Collagen is a hydrolysate of the highest natural purity and is therefore well tolerated. It contains no additives other than vitamin C.

Is the powder truly tasteless?

Yes. Arctic Marine Collagen is completely tasteless – no fishy aftertaste. It dissolves instantly in cold and hot water, coffee, smoothies, or other beverages and can also be added to cold or hot foods.

Why is cod collagen particularly good for the skin?

Cod collagen consists primarily of type 1 collagen (responsible for skin firmness) and some type 3 (responsible for elasticity). It has an exceptionally high content of glycine, proline, and hydroxyproline, the most important building blocks of skin collagen (forming the helix), and contains a particularly high amount of essential amino acids that the body cannot produce itself. Furthermore, unlike other products on the market, cod collagen also contains cysteine and a particularly high amount of the precursor methionine, which are crucial for collagen fiber formation.

What do I need to be aware of as an allergy sufferer, or for whom is the product not suitable?

Not suitable for people with fish or shellfish allergies. Lactose-free and gluten-free. Halal and Kosher certified.

What distinguishes Arctic Marine Collagen from PROCEANIS Collagen Drink?
Both products use the same high-quality raw material – 100% cod collagen from wild-caught Arctic fish. The Collagen Drink is a ready-to-drink premium ritual with 23 amino acids, a fruity flavor, and is ready to consume immediately. The Arctic Marine Collagen is for those who want to integrate collagen into their daily routine in larger quantities and without any added taste – at a more affordable price.
Can I combine this product with the Hyaluron Drink?

Yes – that's actually the ideal combination. The Hyaluron Drink in the morning for hydration, and the Arctic Marine Collagen flexibly distributed throughout the day for firmness and structure.

Is Arctic Marine Collagen certified organic?

Arctic Marine Collagen is a product made from sustainably sourced wild-caught fish from the Arctic Ocean. Its purity is unsurpassed. Organic is good – sustainably sourced wild-caught is better!
