The PROCEANIS® Hyaluron Drink is a pioneer product. The result of years of research, born from the founders’ passion for a healthy lifestyle and their love of the sea.

In 2010, PROCEANIS founders Dr. Henning Jüchter and Heiko C. Bross met a veterinarian during a kitesurfing vacation together. His research focused on hyaluronic acid, a moisture-binding substance that has been used for several years in the treatment of osteoarthritis by injecting it into the joints.

The veterinary surgeon had discovered that hyaluron is also effective in horses when ingested with food. A topic that was not relevant in human medicine at the time. The substance was hyaluronic acid with a certain molecular length.

The founders immediately realized that they had to find out whether this would also work in humans. So they researched whether the human metabolism can also efficiently utilize the natural active ingredient hyaluron when it is supplied externally. They came across a study by Japan’s Toho University from 2002, which indicated that hyaluronic acid ingested with food rejuvenates the skin.

The vision was born: our founders wanted to create a product that would increase the body’s own ability to bind water from within and thus restore our natural, youthful balance.

Together with molecular biologists from the University of Hamburg, they developed the highly effective PROCEANIS® Hyaluron Broad Spectrum Complex, which is particularly bioavailable to humans in drinkable form, within two years.

In January 2012, the time had finally come: the world’s first hyaluronic-based beauty drink was launched. In addition to the hyaluron broad-spectrum complex, the Hyaluron Drink contains a combination of nutrients that supports the growth of healthy skin, hair and nails.

In May 2019, they brought investors and the third Managing Director Hubertus Sprungala on board. Together they have further optimized the Hyaluron Drink.

In 2021, medical research by an Icelandic company provided the impetus for a new product development. The success of using cod skin instead of autologous skin grafts for burns and in the treatment of chronic non-healing wounds inspired the developers to take a closer look at this skin. This revealed that the structure of the skin layers of cod skin and human skin are almost identical and that the amino acid profile is ideal for supplying human collagen synthesis. As this restructuring of the connective tissue fibers in humans takes place at night, PROCEANIS Collagen Drink is the nutritive skin care product for the night and Day&Night is the world’s first Day&Night nutricosmetic.

Our production plant meets the requirements of strict quality guidelines IFS Food (Higher Level) and works according to GMP guidelines. We are strictly against animal testing and the production of our hyaluron complex is – as well as the finished product – completely vegan.
